How Do You Clean The Drain On A Whirlpool Duet Washer?
If water is not draining properly from your Whirlpool Duet washer, the tub outlet line and drain hose may require cleaning. This process requires removing the water pump for accessing the hoses. These types of washer hoses can get clogged from dirt buildup or even socks that make their way into the drain lines. In addition to the tub outlet line and drain hose, you should inspect and clean the ports in the water pump. Turn off the water supply to the washer and disconnect the power from the unit. Refer to the owner’s manual for details on removing the toe panel in front of the washer so you may access the water pump. Open the door containing the wiring harness for the water pump. Disconnect the wires from the water pump terminals by pulling them off with your fingers. Remove the screw holding the pump assembly to the frame.
