Plastic containers and dishes are among the most useful and durable containers available today. The problem with them comes when food and other materials stain the plastic and they become unsightly. The good news is that with a few steps and good products, you do not have to throw out your plasticware. Clean the plastic piece thoroughly. Do this by using the hottest water you can stand and a good dish washing liquid, or running it through your dishwasher. You cannot begin to get a stain out without first getting the food particles and grease out of it. Dry out your container with one of the drying cloths and place the plastic piece out in the sunlight for a few hours. Sunlight will bleach things out and this can sometimes work for plastic pieces as well. Three hours is a good amount of time to try.
