How Do You Clean Stains From Clothes?
Stain removal can be a daunting task. If you have a large stain on a piece of clothing, it can be a hard job to tackle. Yet, by using a few simple household items, you too can get most stains out of most clothing. This saves you time and money. Pre-treat the stain. If the clothing is cotton, use either a few drops of liquid detergent or clear shampoo to rub into the stain. Rub it into the stain with your fingers or a scrub brush. Rinse with cold water. If the stain does not come out immediately, try it again. Now, place it in the washer and allow it to be laundered at a cool temperature with a full load of laundry. Take the piece of clothing out of the washer. If it still has a stain, create a paste with baking soda and water (or powder detergent and water) and try to use a toothbrush to remove the stain. Launder again. Repeat the process until the stain is removed.
