Water elements around the outside of your home are always so pretty and very calming, a quick and easy way to keep these features clean and beautiful. Make sure your ponds or fountains always have the correct water levels, don’t leave them on while you are not home. This is an article related to the smaller water features around the home that are very easy to move and clean. When cleaning these features, first remove old leaves, bugs and whatever else has blown into your water feature. If there is a build up of algae and dirt, I will add 1/4 cup of bleach to the water and then run the pond or fountain for an hour. Then dump the water and rinse everything off with the hose. Then fill your garden feature up once again. I clean my small pond and fountain once every two weeks. If you get hard to remove dirt or bird poop, use a little cleanser and a scrubber, then rinse the fountain off and fill.
