How Do You Clean & Shine Cement Floors?
Cement floors are found in many garage and basement areas. They are also becoming popular as a flooring option in other areas of the home as well. Cement is a highly durable element, resistant to most stains and other elements. Cleaning and shining the cement floors requires just a few cleaning ingredients that are most likely already on hand in the home. Retail products are available, but unnecessary, as a homemade solution will have the same result. Pour a gallon of warm water into a cleaning bucket. Add 1/4 cup of liquid dish detergent to the bucket, which will clean and shine the floors. Pour in 1 cup of distilled white vinegar, which will disinfectant the cement floors. Dip a mop in the solution. Wring out excess water out of the mop. Clean the floors with the damp mop, focusing especially on areas with heavy residue.
