How Do You Clean Seal Or Change The Color Of Grout?
Tile grout, even if it’s sealed with a standard sealant, is bound to get nasty eventually. Stains from use, spills, mold and mildew are inevitable if the tile surface sees even light use on a regular basis. Solve this problem with a combination colorant and sealant that prevents stains, mold and mildew from taking hold and makes future cleaning easy. Section off the tiled area into 200-square-foot areas if the area is large enough. Work on only one section at a time to prevent the colorant/sealant from staining the tile itself. Purchase an industrial strength grout cleaner. Mix one part cleaner with four parts water. Pour the cleaning mixture onto the grout and let it sit for 10 minutes to loosen stains. Don’t let the grout dry while the mixture sits. Scrub the grout with a stiff brush to remove existing stains from the grout crevices. Rinse with clean water and let the area dry for a minimum of two hours. Apply an industrial colorant/sealant, such as Perma-Grout Stain and Seal or Grou
