If you literally have rusty cymbals then you really need this article. Often cymbals can get dirty and this build up can cause your cymbals to not only look dull, but not sound as good as they should. Follow my steps for easy cymbal maintenance that will keep them clean and sounding great!!! An important part of having any instrument sound great is keeping it maintained. This includes not only cleaning your cymbals but how they are stored, what your stands are like, and what kind of cleaners you use. Keep your cymbals in a cymbal case when storing or moving them. This will not only keep them clean but will help them from getting dented which can alter the sound. Make sure that when you do mount them on your cymbal stands, that they are a heavy quality stand that isn’t going to fall over and damage your cymbals. Also just as important as the stand, is the way you mount them to the stand. You should have felt circles on both sides of the cymbal to keep from damaging them. Lastly cleaning
