How Do You Clean Rust Off Concrete?
Rust stains on concrete driveways can come from a car with rust spots sitting in the rain. Concrete is a porous material, so rust can seep down below the surface. The proper supplies, though, reduce the difficulty of the stain-removal job. This technique uses safe ingredients that won’t harm the lawn or other plants or animals. Roll the lemon firmly on the ground. This will loosen up the inside, making it easier to squeeze out the lemon juice. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze the juice on the rust stain. If one lemon doesn’t cover the whole stain, use more lemons. Let the juice sit on the stain for 10 minutes. Scrub the stain with a hard-bristle brush to remove the rust from the concrete. Rinse the concrete with water to wash away the lemon juice and any rust residue. Use a hose if possible so the water has some pressure behind it. If some stain remains, repeat the process. To boost cleaning power, add vinegar to the lemon juice on the second attempt.
