How Do You Clean Rug Gripper Pad Marks?
Rug gripper pads prevent rugs from slipping. When you step on a rug with no rubber backing or a backing that has worn off, the rug may slide and cause a person to fall. But gripper pads sometimes leave marks on the floor beneath, and require an occasional cleaning to remove any residue. Make a cleaning solution at home with a few simple ingredients that are safe for all floor types. Combine 3 cups of water and 1 tbsp. of liquid dish detergent. Dip the edge of a cleaning cloth into the soapy water. Wring out excess water. Rub the damp side of the cloth over the rug gripper pad marks, using pressure when needed to remove stubborn marks. Dampen a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, and rub over pad marks that are not easily removed with the mild dish soap solution. Wet the tip of the eraser, wring out excess water, and use a bit of elbow grease to scrub away the marks. Wipe over the area with a damp cloth to remove any remaining residue when the marks have been removed to your satisfaction.
