How Do You Clean Rifle Brass Cases?
Brass has become the overwhelming choice as the material to use for rifle cartridges. Brass is strong, durable, capable of withstanding reloads, and relatively cost effective to produce and sell. During the firing process, powder and bullet residue may accumulate on the neck and interior of the brass rifle casing. It is important to thoroughly clean as much residue as possible from the casing to prevent possible problems during or following the reloading process. Cleaning the brass can be accomplished by hand cleaning, chemical process, tumbling, and even in a washing machine. Visually inspect the brass prior to cleaning. Make sure there are no cracks in the neck or body of the brass. Also look for dents and misconfiguration to the shell casing which may interfere or affect the reload.
