Rabbit fur is a popular natural textile for women’s boots due to its warmth, durability and soft, luxurious texture. Whether used as trim on fashion conscious boots or as insulation in boots designed for outdoor activities, rabbit fur will provide years of wear with proper care and cleaning. Since boots often come into contact with street slush, snow or mud, you must be diligent in cleaning the fur to maintain its suppleness and softness. Clean the fur as soon as you notice stains from water, mud or other dirt. If possible, don’t let the stain dry. It’s easier to remove the stain if it is still wet. Dampen the area to be cleaned with water from a spray bottle. Just a thin layer of water should suffice; avoid soaking the fur. Pat the area very gently with a soft cotton cloth to remove the stain.
