How Do You Clean Quartz Crystal Plates?
The object in cleaning quartz crystal plates is to get them clear without scratching or breaking them. While quartz crystal isn’t difficult to clean, a few precautions are necessary to avoid harming them. Even a small chip can be problematic because the location of the chip is sharp. Line the sink using the bath towel. Quartz crystal plates become slippery when wet and even more so when soap is added. Lining the sink offers some protection against breaking the plates should one slip out of your hand. Fill the sink with warm water. Quartz crystal plates are temperature sensitive but only mildly so. Avoid extremely hot or cold water. The water should be comfortably warm to your hands. Place the quartz crystal plates into the water to soak for 5 minutes, if the plates are exceptionally dirty.
