How Do You Clean PVC Glue Out Of Carpet?
PVC glue, which is often used to stick together two PVC pipes, should be kept far away from your carpet. Accidents, however, do happen. PVC glue is not the easiest thing to clean out of your rugs, but it absolutely can be done. Just be aware that it will take a little time to achieve the best results and that diligence is key. Take a paper towel and dab it on the glue spot, picking up as much of the wet glue as possible before it seeps further down into the carpet fibers. Do not give it a chance to dry if you notice it right away. Spray WD-40 or a similar water displacement spray directly onto the glue spot. Let it set for 5 minutes so it can begin to extract the glue from the threads. Fill your bucket with warm water–almost to the point where it is too hot to touch–and add two squirts of unscented dish soap. Stir to create a uniform mixture. Scrub the solution with a sponge into the carpet in a circular motion. Wet your rag and dab the area to remove the soap. If necessary, use your
