How Do You Clean Polished Floor Boards?
When polished floor boards are cared for properly, they can make the entire room look beautiful and clean. Polished floors may get scratched, however, if not kept clean from grit. Furthermore, polished floor boards generally don’t react well to heavy detergent and water cleaning–it can dull the finish or even warp the boards (if water is allowed to stand for long on the flooring). Upkeep for polished floors is not difficult, but cleaning must be done properly. Light (with minimal water) and frequent cleaning is usually all that is needed for these floors. Sweep floors thoroughly with an electrostatic dust mop (microfiber). These mops are gentler to polished floors than most bristle brooms–and they get up pet fur and small particles of dust better.
