Smudges and marks on porcelain tile can be irritating, and should be removed in order to give your bath tub that professionally cleaned, shiny, polished appearance. Removing pencil marks from porcelain tile is simple; all you need is a little steel wool and a vacuum. Put on a pair of cleaning gloves. Wet the steel wool pad with room-temperature water. Place the steel wool over the pencil marks and rub in circular motions, using more pressure until you see the pencil marks begin to fade. Continue doing this until the pencil marks have disappeared. Place the steel wool aside, and use a vacuum to suck up any loose dust or steel wool particles. If you leave these particles on the porcelain tile, the water will rust them and stain the tile. Rinse off the area after you vacuum.
