How Do You Clean Paint Off Warhammer Plastic And Metal Models?

• First, ensure the models are dry and reasonably clean (i.e., no dust, dirt or hair, etc). • Take a (preferably) clear container, clean it, then fill it to a depth of 3 cm (or however high the model to be cleaned is) with Dettol. • You may wish to test a model to see how much you need to dilute the Dettol, but undiluted Dettol will work well. • Put models in the container of Dettol. Depending on the size of the container, the size of your models and the amount of paint to be removed, you can put anywhere from 3 to 7 infantry-type models (e.g. Space Marine scouts, Imperial Guardsmen, Necron Warriors), in a single good-sized container with Dettol, but only put ONE vehicle model (e.g., Land Raider, Chimera) per container. Also bear in mind that some models may need individual containers if they are to be treated very intensively (e.g. special characters, command units, etc.) • Once the models are in, leave them for about 24 hours in an undisturbed location, such as a garage or spare room
