How Do You Clean Out Clogged Drains?
Clogged drains are the bane of anyone’s existence. When plumbing doesn’t work, it can seriously put a damper on any situation, and could cost a lot of money. However, before you start calling plumbers, try and see if you can get the drain unclogged on your own. There are simple processes that you can use to unclog a drain fairly easily, without using any chemicals to help break up collected gunk. Create a mixture that is 1 cup baking soda, 1 cup vinegar and a few cups water. You can vary the water a little, but around 3 cups will do. Remove any drain strainer or plunger that is set over the opening to the drain, and set them aside. Pour the mixture you made in Step 1 into the clogged drain. This mixture will begin to work away and dissolve whatever the clog may be. Think of it as a green, natural version of Drain-O. Maneuver a drain snake into the clogged drain to feel for the clog.
