How do you clean nicotine residue from fine antique furniture without hurting the finish?
It’s a “non-abrasive, bio-degradable, non-toxic, non-flammable cleaner that removes dirt, wax, and grease buildup from kitchen cabinits to the finest antiques”. (Read from the jar) This is sold in many of our area antique shops and really does an excellent job. I have used it on antiques that I intended to refinish and found I didn’t have to because it does such a nice job of cleaning and restoring to the original finish. About 85% of my furniture is antique, so I have used this on many, many pieces. It is made by Graco Sales Co.Inc., 1-800-238-6969, www.kottonklenser.com. I can vouch for how well this works but perhaps you can call or email them to ask specifically if it would take nicotine residue off. I’m certain that it would. It has worked very well on everything I have ever used it on. On some old furniture, I don’t even want to know why it is sticky! Good luck!
