How Do You Clean Mold & Mildew From Shower Liners?
Cleaning mold and mildew from shower liners improves the health and appearance of your bathroom. Mold and mildew organisms grow best in moist environments, and, once started, will spread. Follow these steps to remove them from shower liners and prevent further growth. Remove shower liner from rod. Place in washing machine with hot water, 2 cups chlorine bleach and a couple old bath towels. Leave to pre-soak for 15 to 30 minutes. Add detergent and run the wash cycle. Use your clothes dryer to remove excessive moisture if the dryer has a non-heat, air-dry cycle. Shower liners are plastic and should not be exposed to heat. Place shower liner and dry towels in dryer and run on non-heat cycle. Towels will “scrub” water off liner and make it easier to rehang it without floor drips. Use bath towels to wipe down the liner if your clothes dryer does not have a no-heat setting. Remove the liner from the washing machine, wrap it in towels and take it to the bathroom. Wipe off extra moisture in th
