One of these chores is cleaning mildew from the awnings. Mildew is a common problem associated with awnings. It will just get worse if not properly cleaned off. It can be removed with a few items, a little effort and your time. Gather your supplies. Decide if you want to use mildew cleaner or bleach. Either will work. If you use bleach, dilute it with water from a spray bottle. Lower the RV awning enough to reach it easily. Use a ladder, if necessary. Spray it with the water hose. Spray the mildew cleaner or the bleach on the awning. Use slow sweeps and start at the top. Cover it thoroughly. Use a brush to spread the cleaner on the awning.
