How Do You Clean Melted Ice Off Of Wood Laminate Floors?
During the winter months it is extremely easy to track in ice and snow from the outside onto your wood laminate floor. Like traditional hardwood floor, excessive moisture can cause the floor boards to expand and contrast, which may lead to breaking and squeaking boards. Because of this, it is important to clean off the water as quickly as possible. Take off your shoes. Even if the shoes didn’t track in the ice and snow they probably have dirt on the bottom of them, so walking around on the wet floor is just going to track dirt over the laminate flooring. Sweep the remaining pieces of ice into a dustpan and dump it into either your sink or toilet. Soak up the water into a mop. If you like, you can turn this into a cleaning opportunity and clean the rest of the floor with the melted ice water. Ring the mop out when you have completed the process. Dry off the floor with some towels. There is no need to waste a large amount of paper towels on the floor, so stick with a kitchen or bathroom
