How Do You Clean Lint From A Dryer?
Although cleaning a dryer may seem like like a menial task, not doing so causes thousands of house fires in the United States each year. Fires can occur when lint builds up in the dryer or in the exhaust duct. Lint can block the flow of air, cause excessive heat build-up, and result in a fire in some dryers. The lint will build up over a dryer load into a sheet that will easily come off. Do this often, after every load if possible. Check the air/exhaust duct for lint and other debris that can create blockages. To do this, examine the outside exhaust vent while the dryer is active with a load. To remove a blockage in the exhaust path, you might need to disconnect the exhaust duct from the dryer. An unrav
