How Do You Clean LCD Computer Monitors?
Liquid crystal display (LCD) screens are the product of choice for the modern consumer, and are typically standard with newer desktop and most laptop computers. LCD screens run on less power than CRT monitors, they take up much less space and provide a sharper image. To avoid smudges, and to protect the light coating on LCD screens, they need careful cleaning. There are several ways to clean LCD computer monitors. Turn off the power to the LCD monitor and unplug it. This will prevent electrical shocks and damage to the monitor. Use a multisurface cleaner from a brand-name manufacturer (see Resources). Household cleaning product companies make wipes and sprays that can be used on your LCD computer monitor. If you use a spray, spray the cleaner on to a cloth (microfiber or 100 percent cotton) first.
