How Do You Clean Kiddie Pools?
Summertime fun for kids often means splashing around in a pool. Kiddie pools are a safer, cheaper alternative to full-sized, deeper swimming pools. A lot of times these smaller pools get neglected when it comes to proper cleaning. Some may believe that emptying out the water and refilling is sufficient–it isn’t. Bacteria and algae can thrive in the warm water of a kiddie pool and make your child ill. Pool chemicals for these smaller pools will help prevent many of these problems; however, there are times when a more thorough cleaning is necessary. It takes some time, but it is necessary to keep your child’s pool safer. Drain all the water out of the pool. If the pool is inflatable, you can deflate it partially, but it isn’t necessary to fully deflate it. Put on rubber gloves and protective eyewear. Mix a solution of bleach and water in a clean bucket.
