How Do You Clean Jets & Pipes In A Cultured Marble Jacuzzi Tub?
A cultured marble Jacuzzi tub creates an elegant, attractive element to the bathroom. As with any Jacuzzi tub, you need to clean the jets and pipes regularly to prevent soap scum, residue and bacteria from building up within the pipes. The problem is, you would typically use bleach or vinegar to clean the pipes, but both of these elements will damage the cultured marble. Instead, you need to use a different method that will still be highly effective in cleaning the jets. Place two dishwasher detergent tablets into an empty cleaning bucket. Run a gallon of hot water into the bucket, swishing the water until the tablets dissolve. Plug the tub and pour the dissolved soapy water into the tub. Fill the tub with hot water, filling to 2 inches above all jet openings. Turn the Jacuzzi on and let it run for 20 minutes. Using the dishwasher tablets will clean without forming enormous amounts of soap suds, and 20 minutes will be plenty of time for all lines to be flushed. Drain the bathtub, then
