How Do You Clean Install Windows XP Lenovo?
Many Lenovo-branded laptops come with Windows XP preinstalled. A CD containing the operating system install files is provided with the laptop. This CD is designed to work specifically with the Lenovo computer and must be used when installing a clean copy of Windows XP. A clean install means that all partitions and previous Windows XP operating systems are fully removed and replaced. This is useful if the computer has become infected with multiple unremovable viruses or the system has become extremely sluggish. Insert the Lenovo Windows XP CD that came with your computer and restart the computer. Press any key when prompted to boot from CD or press the key indicated on screen to boot from the CD. Press “Enter” on the “Windows XP setup screen” followed by “F8” to accept the terms. Press the “ESC” key at the next screen to skip the repair process and install a fresh copy of Windows XP.
