How Do You Clean Ink From A Leather Couch?
Leather furniture is a major investment. While dropping an ink pen on a leather couch–or having a toddler turn it into an inky work of art–may create a horrifying sight, you actually have pretty good odds of getting the ink out of your leather couch. Before you use this method to clean ink stains, try it out on an inconspicuous spot on the couch–say, near the bottom on the back or a corner that backs up against the wall–to make sure it won’t stain or discolor the leather. Dip a white cotton cloth in rubbing alcohol, and rub the alcohol-moistened cloth on the ink stain. Set a hair dryer on warm, and blow warm air on the area you just cleaned until it’s dry to the touch. Check for signs of remaining stain. If there’s any ink still on the leather, you can repeat the application of rubbing alcohol and then dry it away with the hair dryer; or, try using acetone-free nail polish remover as a substitute.
