Laying your own ceramic tiles is not a job for the faint of heart. It is a process that involves multiple steps and much care. Of course, it can also reduce the cost greatly, as only materials must be purchased. After the tile has been laid, a haze may begin to develop over the tiles as a result of the grout sealer. There is no need to panic. Removing the haze is the easiest part of the tile-laying process. Wet a stiff-bristled brush with water and shake out. Apply a small amount of cleanser directly to the brush. Scrub the affected tiles with the brush. Wipe with a clean cloth to check for effectiveness. If the sealant was removed, dampen a cloth with water and wipe the area clean. Apply a sealant stripper, which can be purchased at a home supply store, to a sponge and rub onto an inconspicous tile.
