How Do You Clean Grout In A Shower Stall?
While the look of tiles in your shower can be elegant, grout cleaning is perhaps one of the most abysmal chores in the home. Many people recommend methods such as vinegar, baking soda, and commercial cleaner, which require plenty of scrubbing and can be quite time-consuming. But if you’re armed with the right materials and a little insight, this can be a very simple chore. Mix 1 qt. warm water with 1 oz. of powdered bleach and stir until it is dissolved. Pour the solution into a spray bottle and saturate the grout thoroughly. For maximum effectiveness, spray the solution on dry grout. The longer the solution is allowed to sit on the grout, the easier it will be to clean. Allow the area to soak for 15 to 30 minutes. Spray the area with more solution periodically to keep it from drying up. Scrub the area with a clean cloth or an old toothbrush. Make sure that there is plenty of solution on the area to keep it damp. Rinse the area with clean water.
