How Do You Clean Grout Between Kitchen Floor Tiles?
Spills and dirt can leave the grout between tiles on the kitchen floor looking grungy and gray. Scrubbing doesn’t seem to do much good, but there is a way to clean up and disinfect the grout simultaneously. A mild bleach solution and a sponge-tipped paintbrush make quick work of messes, and leave the grout germ free and sparkling. Mix 1/4 cup of bleach and 2 quarts of water, combining thoroughly. Dip the end of the sponge-tipped paintbrush into the bleach solution. Kneeling on the floor, apply the solution to the grout. It’s best to tackle the floor a section at a time to make sure all grout is cleaned. After whitening a section of grout, dry the area with an old hand towel to keep the solution from attracting dirt and turning into puddles. Repeat the cleaning process once a month and the grout will remain bright.
