How Do You Clean Grooves In Linoleum Floors?
Linoleum floors are a cheap alternative to tile flooring that can look nice if maintained properly. This style of flooring is common throughout many homes and can be quite challenging to keep clean. Deep grooves between the linoleum strips offer a great place for dirt and grime to accumulate; continuous vigilance is required to keep these temperamental floors looking nice. Sweep or vacuum the floor to remove any loose dirt and debris. Mix a solution of three-to-five tablespoons of dish soap to a gallon of warm water. Dip a nylon brush in the solution and scrub the grooves to dislodge the dirt and debris. It may be helpful to use a sponge to wet the area first and let it soak for a minute or two before scrubbing. A plastic knife may aid in particularly difficult areas. Work in small areas. Focus on one section while another is soaking.
