How Do You Clean Dryer Lint Screens?
The lint filter of a dryer traps lint as it floats off clothes while the clothes are drying. Standard operating recommendations include cleaning the lint filter screen after every load of clothes finishes drying in the dryer. Most people simply use their hands to scrape the excess lint from the screen of the filter and then they discard the lint. It is also beneficial to use warm soapy water and a scrub brush to clean lint and accumulated dust that you cannot easily see on the lint filter. Remove the lint filter from its location in the dryer. Use your hand to scrape all visible lint from the filter screen. Discard the lint.
