How Do You Clean Dried Epoxy Grout Off Of Ceramic Tile?
Ceramic tile is attractive, durable, low maintenance and easy to install, making it a popular choice for bathrooms, kitchens and floors in any room. When installing ceramic tile, epoxy grout is often used to join, support and fill the spaces between the tiles. Epoxy grout is waterproof and resistant to stains and mildew. However, its impermeable features make it difficult to remove, especially once it has dried. While it is difficult, it is not impossible. Clean the area and wipe it dry. Apply the release agent (see Resources) full strength to a small area of tile using a sponge or applicator. One tile at a time is more manageable than several. Wipe release agent from grout joints to prevent it from removing necessary grout. Allow the release agent to stand for up to 15 minutes for heavy grout deposits. For minimal grout on ceramic tile, a few minutes will be sufficient. Scrub the area thoroughly with a plastic or nylon scouring pad or sponge. Rub until the epoxy has been loosened. Rin
