How Do You Clean Dirty Faux Wood Blinds?
Faux wood blinds are a wonderful accent and relatively cheap. But after time, they can gather dirt and gunk. Never fear–cleaning is easier than you may think. REMOVE LOOSE DUST: Tilt your blinds facing upwards. Using the dry rag, duster, or brush attachment, work your way in between the openings thoroughly from top to bottom. Now, tilt your blinds in the opposite direction facing downwards and work your way from top to bottom in the same manner as above. If your faux wood blinds are vertical styled, perform the procedure above in the same manner starting from either side, top to bottom to keep dust from resticking to the areas you just wiped. (See Tip #1) PREPARE DETERGENT: Mix 1.5 teaspoons of ordinary, household mild detergent to a pint of water. Faux wood blinds are more resilient and forgiving to water than real wood blinds and can handle mild detergent mixes with ease and no negative effects (unless otherwise noted by your manufacturer). DAMP CLEAN: Using the damp rag or sponge,
