Few people look forward to cleaning their oven, especially if the oven walls and floor are covered in baked-on food or spattered with sticky grease. Turn off the oven and let it cool. Use a damp cloth or the wand attachment on a vacuum cleaner to remove loose food particles or loosened, burned debris from the oven floor. Start the self-cleaning function if your Delonghi gas oven has one. Generally, you select the “Clean” option on the oven controls and let the oven lock the door shut and heat up to bake off debris and grease. Keep kids and pets away from the oven during the self-cleaning process—it gets very hot. Allow the self-cleaning function to stop automatically, unlocking the oven door.
