How Do You Clean Curling Iron Barrels?
Curling irons can get nasty after awhile and can even cause hair breakage. To protect your hair, keep those curling irons clean! Make sure your curling iron is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning. While the iron can be cleaned hot, waiting for it to cool will eliminate the chance of being burned. Pour rubbing alcohol unto a cotton ball or cotton pad, soaking it completely. You can wear gloves if rubbing alcohol irritates your skin – it can be quite drying. Rub the cotton ball or pad on the curling iron to get all the build up and gunk off. Depending on how old or dirty the iron is, you may have to use some elbow grease. Repeat whenever necessary. If you use your curling iron daily, you may want to clean it once a month. If you only use it once in awhile, a yearly clean will work!
