How Do You Clean Circular Saw Blades?
If your circular saw blades will not cut properly, and sharpening them does not help, they may be dirty. Fortunately, cleaning your saw blades will remedy this problem. If you have been cutting softwoods, a dirty blade is almost certainly the problem. Place the marbles in the bottom of the 5-gallon bucket. You can cover the bottom of the bucket, but there should not be more than one layer. These will keep the circular saw blade from sitting directly on the bottom of the bucket. Place your circular saw blade flat in the 5-gallon bucket. It should fit fairly snugly in the bottom of the bucket. Pour in the entire bottle of cleaner. The solution should cover the saw blade completely. Let the blade soak for 20 minutes. This will allow the cleaner to loosen up any gunk or residue that is stuck on the blade. Scrub the saw blade using the plastic bristled scrub brush. It is important to use plastic bristles so that you do not scrape your blade. The dirt, grime and general gunk should come off
