How Do You Clean Ceramic Tile After Grout Installation?
Tile grout refers to the joint compound that seals tiles together. Grout can be colored to match tile or a more standard off-white. When installing tile, the gaps need to be filled with a firming compounded to set the tile and create an impermeable surface. Grouting causes a big mess when installing ceramic tile. However, this mess can be easily cleaned as an integral part of the tile installation process. Choose an area about 2 feet by 2 feet to allow for easy access without stepping or kneeling on the freshly laid tile. This area should never be too large so you can have easy access to the entire space. Work from the rear of the tiled area toward the exit. For example, choose an interior corner in the bathroom, clean that tile area and work back to the doorway. Fill the bucket halfway with clean water.
