Fortunately, there is a way you can clean your CD and restore it to working condition. You can use peanut butter, along with a few other household products to clean your CD. This home remedy will save you from having to purchase a brand new CD. Place your CD scratch side up on top of some paper towels. Wipe a layer of toothpaste on the CD, and then a layer of peanut butter. You want to use creamy peanut butter (brand doesn’t matter) as crunchy peanut butter would scratch the disc. The oil in the peanut butter gets into the scratch and fills the hole. Use some paper towels to wipe the peanut butter and toothpaste off the CD.
