Use paper towels or an old bath towel to blot the area. Apply pressure to help the towels absorb the urine. Repeat as needed until as much of the moisture as possible has been absorbed. If the urine has already dried, simply move on to the home remedies. Mix 1 teaspoon liquid dish detergent with 8 ounces of water. Apply to area. Blot again with towels. Pour warm water over the area to soak. Blot with towels. Apply a mixture of 1 ounce white vinegar and 8 ounces of water to area.
