How Do You Clean Cast Acrylic Sinks?
Cast acrylic sinks resist stains but must be cleaned regularly to look their best. Take extra care to be gentle with these sinks. Acrylic is more prone to scratches than marble or porcelain sinks. Even mild abrasives can permanently change the appearance of cast acrylic–and not for the better. With regular, gentle care and cleaning, however, you should not have to worry about serious stains. Wet a soft, non-abrasive sponge under warm water. Apply liquid dish detergent directly to the sponge. How much detergent you’ll need depends on how dirty your sink is. You should start with about 1 tsp. of detergent. Clean the faucet first–use the sponge and dish detergent, then rinse the faucet off with warm water. Dirt on the faucet may otherwise fall off later, dirtying your newly cleaned sink. Scrub the sink basin with the sponge. Add more water or detergent if necessary. If the sink is stained, you may use a bathroom cleaner containing bleach to help remove the stain. Be sure to wear gloves
