How Do You Clean Carpet Cake Stains?
Cake stains rarely pose a serious threat to carpet, especially if there is no food coloring involved. Usually a cake stain comes out completely with the help of a little warm water, but sometimes other ingredients in the cake, such as food coloring or butter, penetrate the carpet a little deeper. When this happens, add a quick pre-treatment with an acidic property, such as vinegar or lemon juice. It’s also important to use the proper cleaning technique, but if you do it right, your carpet will show no signs of the stain and appear good as new. Use a knife to gently scrape any dried cake residue away from the carpet. When you have freed all the excess cake, vacuum the crumbs up and away from the stain.
