How Do You Clean Burnt Rice From A Pot?

0

Even Betty Crocker may have had a bad rice day. Don’t feel awful about stinking up the house and burning the rice, but do try to clean burnt rice from a pot. If the rice can’t be salvaged, at least the pot can. Salvage whatever rice you can to eat and then immediately soak the pot in hot water for at least an hour. Take a stiff brush and scrape whatever burnt fragments come off easily after the soak. Fill the pot with at least 1 inch of water mixed with dishwashing soap and bring the concoction to a boil. Keep it bubbling for at least 15 minutes. Rinse, brush and repeat, if necessary.
