How Do You Clean Brake Dust Off A Rim?
Are your rims dirty and brown and have a thick coat of brake dust on them? With my easy to follow directions they will be clean and shinny in no time! First buy some oven cleaner the kind in the aerosol can, it can be an off brand and you should buy about 3 cans to make sure you have enough. Park your vehicle in the shade, and make sure that the rims you are cleaning are not “hot” from driving. They should be cool to the touch and in the shade. Have your water supply on and ready to spray with a high power nozzle or pressure washer to clean the rims. Liberally apply the oven cleaner on the rims, spraying in the crevices and turning the can upside down to get the rim from a different angle. (you can pull the car forward or back and hit the up side of the rim). Let the oven cleaner work itself into the brake dust, a good measure of time is do all the other rims before you start rinsing. Go ahead and rinse the rims off with the hose or nozzle, you should see the majority of the dust just
