An inkjet cartridge contains the ink that is used in an inkjet printer. An inkjet printer can become clogged, especially if the cartridge sits in the printer without being used for prolonged periods of time. When an inkjet cartridge becomes clogged, the copies that a printer prints may be spotty or uneven. Also, an inkjet cartridge may leak small amounts of ink and become dirty or stained. This additional ink can leak onto the paper while the printer is in use. To resolve both of these situations, you should clean the inkjet cartridge. Remove the inkjet cartridge from the printer. Although this process may slightly vary based on the printer brand and model, the basic concept is the same. Simply lift up the lid or door on the inkjet printer. Once you do this, the inkjet cartridge cradle should move to the side or the middle. Do not touch anything until the cradle stops moving.
