How Do You Clean An Aquatech DE Pool Filter?
If you own an Aquatech DE pool filter, you know that it’s a quality piece of equipment and does an excellent job in maintaining a clean pool. Although it is a quality piece of equipment, it does require regular maintenance in order to perform. One of the maintenance procedures is cleaning the Aquatech DE filter and adding a fresh supply of DE. Because Aquatech DE filters remove dirt particles as small as 2 microns in size, it is important to clean it regularly. Turn off the pool filter and clean out the leaves from the skimmer basket. Additionally, open the lid to the pump basket and remove the debris found there. Set the Aquatech DE pool filter housing handle to the backwash position and turn on the pump. Allow the filter to backwash for about three minutes. You’ll see cloudy dirty water flow from the backwash outlet.
