How Do You Clean An Antique Porcelain Sink?
Maintaining an antique porcelain sink is not easy, especially since it may have years of set in stains. Antique porcelain sinks show every speck of dirt, making the sink look filthy even if it is not. Cleaning an antique porcelain sink is not very hard, you just have to be careful what you use to clean it so that you do not damage it. Clean the antique porcelain sink using a non-abrasive cleaner and sponge/rag. By using the non-abrasive cleaners and sponges/rags, you will save your sink from scratches. Cleaning stains can be easier if you use a mixture of alum and lemon juice, rather than cleaning products. If you use the mixture, it should sit on the stains for at least 10 minutes. If the stain is still not gone, you can reapply the mixture and check again in another 10 minutes. Repeat until they are gone. Apply vinegar on the porcelain sink to produce shine. Rinse the sink out well to avoid the sink smelling like the vinegar.
