How Do You Clean A Suede Leather Jacket?
Suede is the inner layer of skin from the hide of an animal. It is softer and more flexible than the outer skin that is used for regular leather. The major downfall of suede is that it gets dirty easily and is hard to clean. Many people are unaware of the proper techniques needed to clean suede and end up with a ruined piece of clothing when they try it without guidance. Soak up wet stains with a paper towel. Put three layers of paper towel on top of the stain and add a small weight, such as a book, on top. Let it soak up for five minutes. Remove dried-on liquid stains with a damp cloth and white vinegar. Pour just enough vinegar to dampen the stain and gently rub it with the cloth. Examine the jacket once it dries. It may take multiple attempts to remove the stain with this method, but the up side is that you will not harm the suede in the process.
