Small children often wet the bed when they are learning to become potty trained. It is very hard for them to make it 8 to 12 hours through the night without having to go. Some children continue to wet the bed all the way into their teen years because their bladders have not grown as fast as their bodies. If your child soils the mattress, it is possible to clean it. Begin soaking up the urine with dry towels. Lay one directly over the urine and press on it with your hands. You may want to wear some plastic gloves. Continue soaking up the urine until you can’t soak up any more. Throw those towels into the washing machine with laundry soap on the hot setting. Dry as usual. Spray vinegar on the urine.
