Add a drop of detergent to a cup of water, dip the cloth in the mix and use it to rub the iron’s plate. Dry the iron’s plate with a dry cloth or towel. For an non-coated iron plate, use metal polish to clean it. Get a clean cloth and wet it with a few drop of the metal polish solution. Rub the scorched iron plate until it is cleaned. To clean dirty iron vents; mix water and soap to create a mixture and use a cotton swab. Dip the swab into the mix and use it to clean the dirty vents. Use as many swabs as necessary.
